These terms are an agreement between you and K.Rise.Media LLC ("we", "us") about your use of the Robo Caddy mobile app. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.
Robo Caddy is a free golf utility. It shows GPS yardage to the green, keeps a 9 or 18 hole scorecard, suggests clubs based on your bag and the distance, and shows local weather. The app works without an account, and your rounds are stored on your device. We may improve, change, or remove features over time. We may discontinue the service, and if we do we will try to let users know where we can.
Robo Caddy is free, and there are currently no purchases in the app. If we ever add paid features, the specific terms for that purchase will be presented to you before you buy.
The rounds, scores, and bag setup you create belong to you and are stored only on your device. We do not receive or hold that data, and we are not responsible for loss of data if your device is lost, damaged, or reset. You are responsible for any backups.
Yardage and course layout in Robo Caddy come from your device's GPS signal and from course map data maintained by OpenStreetMap volunteers. Data quality varies by course. Distances may be missing, incomplete, or wrong, and a hole may lock to the wrong position in some locations. Before you play, check the course, know the rules, and play golf sensibly. You should never rely on the app for safety-critical decisions, such as where hazards, water, or boundaries are. Robo Caddy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any course operator, tournament organization, or professional golf body, and no such affiliation is implied by the use of course names in the app.
You agree to use the app lawfully and not to: reverse engineer the app (except where the law explicitly allows it), use it to interfere with or harm the app or other users, or use it in a way that violates anyone's rights. We may stop your access if you abuse the service, though there is no account to suspend in practice.
Course layout data belongs to OpenStreetMap contributors and is used under the Open Database License. Weather data is provided by Open-Meteo. Other names, marks, and course identities belong to their owners and are used for identification only. None of these parties endorse Robo Caddy.
The app, including its code, design, text, and the Robo Caddy character, is owned by K.Rise.Media LLC. You may use the app for your personal golf. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute it.
To the maximum extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that distances will be correct or that the service will be uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, game results, or enjoyment. Our total liability for anything related to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us for it (currently zero, since the app is free). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You will defend and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable costs that arise from your use of the app, except to the extent caused by our negligence or willful misconduct.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Except for small claims court and disputes over our intellectual property, you and we agree to resolve disputes individually through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. No class or collective actions. We will try to resolve any support issue by email first.
You can stop using the app at any time. We can suspend or end the service if we believe you have violated these terms or if we discontinue the product. Sections 6 through 12 and 14 survive termination.
If you believe content in the app infringes your copyright, send a notice to k.rise.media@gmail.com identifying the work, the location, and your contact information, and we will respond in good faith.
We may update these terms by posting a new version at this address with a new version date. If a change is material, we will try to make it clear. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
