Robo Caddy — Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 — August 2026

Short version: Robo Caddy keeps your golf data on your device. It asks for your location only while the app is open, uses it for yardage, course detection, and weather, and does not build a profile of you, track you, or sell anything. We do not run a server, so there is no place for your data to go.

1. Who We Are

Robo Caddy is published by K.Rise.Media LLC, a small software publisher based in Idaho, United States. We built the app to be simple: yardage, score, and your bag, with as little data collection as possible. Questions about this policy go to k.rise.media@gmail.com.

2. Information We Collect

Robo Caddy collects almost nothing. The only data it processes is:

DataWhenWhy
Your precise location (GPS)Only while the app is open and in useFind the course you are on, lock onto the nearest hole, show yardage to the green, suggest clubs, show nearby courses, and fetch local weather
Scorecards, logged rounds, bag setup, and stats you createOn your device onlyLet you review past rounds and track your game. This data never leaves your phone

We do not sell, share for advertising, or use your location for any purpose other than the features described above.

3. What We Do Not Collect

There are no accounts, so we never ask for a name, email address, or password. We do not use advertising identifiers, device identifiers, analytics, crash reporting, ad networks, or tracking of any kind. Robo Caddy has no backend of its own: no server, no database, no push notifications. The only network calls the app makes are described in Section 4.

4. Third-Party Services

To provide two features, the app sends a small amount of data over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to public services that are not operated by us:

We do not control these services or their logging practices, and they are used strictly to fetch public data. No personal profile of you is created by these requests, and we receive no personal data back from them.

5. Data Retention

Because we do not operate a server, we retain no data about you at all. Your rounds, scores, and bag setup live in your phone's local storage. You can delete individual rounds from the app at any time, and deleting the app removes everything. If you ask us to delete your data, we can confirm that we hold none.

6. Security

Your data stays on your device, which is the strongest protection we can offer. The two network calls described above travel over TLS-encrypted HTTPS connections. We follow reasonable practices for a small developer, and the attack surface is deliberately small.

7. Children's Privacy

Robo Caddy is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. In practice, the app collects no personal information at all, as described above.

8. Your Choices

9. Open Data Credit

Course layout data shown in the app comes from OpenStreetMap contributors and is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). Weather data is provided by Open-Meteo. Data quality varies by course, and not every course is mapped in detail.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and note the new version date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
